Here is a video of the JAWS waves in Hawaii this year.
I got to witness them, and wow they are NUTS.
Check it out :)
Well class, in a month or so I will be in Hawaii. Cant even wait. Still a little scared but it will be totally worth it. It is cool that everything has came together so quick.
Cant believe it all comes down to this, all i need is to register for classes in Hawaii soon. Its scary to think that I will be at a different school after the new year, very scary, yet VERY EXCITING!
Its amazing to see how long this process has taken, I am excited to be going to Hawaii, it will be a good time for me to enjoy myself while going to school at the same time.
I might keep my blog up while I am at school in Hawaii as well.
The count down is on.
CANT WAIT TO BE IN THE 808
SOOOOO PRETTY!
Cant wait to feel the sand between my toes, and the ocean breeze on my face.
I had returned my health forms in and my NSE fee. Now i just am on waiting time to register for classes in November, and housing in December.
I did meet with my adviser for Health Promotion and Education last week, and GOOD NEWS!!!!
she approved 3 out of the 4 classes that I want to take in Hawaii. Also since I am a lifeguard my CPR/First aid class will be counted for without me taking it becasue I am currently certified as a lifeguard.
whew, that made my day.
Now im just waiting that the classes will be avaliable at the times i want..
I just turned in my last fee, and my health clearance form, now I have to wait till November to get my set schedule for the classes that I will take while Im there, then I have to wait till December 3rd to get my housing application.
THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING MEEEEE!
before I know it, it will be time to buy my air fare to get out there.
So I met with financial aid the other day, and I have the money to go to hawaii!!!!!
woooooo hoooooooooo.
NOW.... the next section of the exchange, i have to look into my housing application. oh geeze. Its amazing how fast time has gone by.
Tomorrow I finally meet with financial aid to hopefully get my money for my housing while I am in Hawaii! I don't think it has hit me yet that I could actually be on a plane after new years on my way to Hawaii to live there, and go to school. I will be a student of University of Hawaii at Monoa. Yup, still hasn't hit me. Oh man, my heart is racing just thinking about it. ugh, i have my fingers crossed that things go well tomorrow.
I have been accepted to the university of Hawaii at Manoa. I filled out my application to be a part of there system and it will be sent tomorrow. This is a huge step for me. I want to go, but i will miss my family, my room, my job, and my boyfriend.
I think I just need to take the risk.
I have lived in Utah my whole life, i need a change.
Now I just have to make the effortt acutally put the envelope in the mail box.
I don't know what i going to do as of now. I have recently applied for a National Student Exchange Program. I have applied to go to school in Hawaii, at University of Hawaii at Manoa, which is located on Oahu.
I dont know what i am going to do yet, its an experience that i would never forget, i would love the atmosphere, i would love the people, i would love my surroundings.
But...
I dont know if i wanna leave my family, or my boyfriend. I need a change of scenery, a new start in my life, i need to get away from what im used to. I love utah, dont get me wrong, i was born and raised here. But im just not cut out for being in Utah all my life. I love the Ocean, I love to swim, I love the feel of sun screen on my body during those hot days at the pool in the summer.
I feel like I wold be more happy in Hawaii rather than being in Utah. Its just to cold for me to want to walk around, and be dedicated to school.
Hawaii would be a great change for me. A change that I personally think I really need to consider.
The question is....
Will I go?
I miss the feeling of fresh green grass between my toes.
Or the sand as I walk out of the Ocean.
I miss the sound of the waves as they crash next to my room.
I want to go back to Hawaii for the experience of a lifetime.
I guess you could say this is a diary about my crazy life, from my family, friends, relationships, traveling the world, and much much more
It amazes me how fast time flies. It seems like the other day that I was graduating from Highland High school in 2008. Now its 2010 and I am still in school. Lots has changed since my freshman year of college. Now my brother is off to Chicago for his freshman year of college, which means i will be the only child living at my house. Also my father has recently moved to Alaska for work as a Pharmacist, growing up with divorced parents made this really hard for me, I love my Dad, and I miss him already. My grandmother has also been on the verge of death about three times since October. My grandma is the backbone of our family, and i dont know what my family would do without her around.
School may be a challenge for me but i still work hard at it everyday. I'm also compared to my 18 year old brother everyday. He is the smart one I guess.
One thing I know for sure that I know that will always stay the same is the love for my family. My parents are divorced, so I have been raised more by my mothers side of the family. My family is Italian. Were that big, loud, obnoxious, Italian family. But I wouldn't give it up for anything in the world. My family keeps me going, they keep a smile on my face, especially when I am going through a hard time in life.
